"Our sweet boy made his grand entrance in a very surprising way when mama went into preterm labor suddenly while at work. At just over 34weeks we were prepared by the NICU team for him to be admitted with them.
The team was so kind and compassionate to us as we grappled with this reality while also in labor. Our boy came into the world screaming and breathing well despite his small size. We spent 2 long weeks in the NICU while we got the hang of eating and gaining weight.
Having a baby in the NICU unexpectedly while also having another child at home who needed you was an overwhelming challenge. The NICU team never ceased to amaze us in this kindness, detailed explanations, and warmth. That made this so much easier.
Now he is just over a year old adjusted and crawls like a mad man after his big sister and continues to wow us in his big, sweet personality. We are so grateful to his medical team and will forever remember their names and how they cared for us." NICU Mom, Natalie
