"Barrett was born on April 28, 2022 at 32 weeks + 4 days gestation. It was very unexpected and scary for my husband and myself.

His lungs were underdeveloped due to being early, he had slight jaundice, and just needed some extra love, attention, and care. He would experience Apnea and bradycardia events.

He started out with a CPAP, before moving to a nasal cannula and had a G-tube to help him eat. He was put on caffeine to help with his events.

Eventually he was able to have the nasal cannula and G-tube removed and it was up to him to not have any events. He spent 42 days in the NICU before he was able to be discharged to come home and meet his sister for the first time."
