#30DaysofBrave Day 15- Darla & Emma

Our beautiful twin girls were born at 24 weeks gestation on November 20, 2019.

Our heads were spinning that day with the fear of the unknown for our twin girls. Darla, our first baby girl, had many complications including intubation, chest tube and a brain bleed.

Five days later, our little baby girl became our angel to look over her younger sister Emma.

My husband and I had tears in our eyes when Emma came out in this world with little cries.

We thought that was impossible due to her immature lungs with being born so early. We are AMAZED how the NICU staff took care of Emma. She was in the NICU and then went to an inpatient therapy place for feeding for a total of 163 days.

Emma will be 2 years old this November and is catching up on her developmental milestones. We are so grateful for the Tower Health NICU staff and Wee Talk therapists for working with Emma. We know that Darla is watching over her everyday to give her the strength to continue to AMAZE us! We love both our miracle girls, Darla and Emma!
