#30DaysofHope Day 3- Ellen

During my pregnancy I was incredibly sick, I felt awful 95% of the time and when I would go to my appointments I would tell the doctor she was not concerned at all.

The first time I started rotating to meet all the doctors the physician referred me to Maternal Fetal Medicine, needless to say I was a complete disaster. The week of my appointment with MFM my blood pressure was 203/95 so I went to the triage at my obgyn they immediately sent me for monitoring, they released me and sent me on my way three days later I was admitted to a new hospital and told my daughter would be here in the next few days.

I was 31 weeks pregnant and panicking they tried to reduce my blood pressure with IV medication, I was on magnesium the whole nine yards I had one good day then downhill again.

My daughter was born emergency c-section four days after I was admitted to the hospital, by far the scariest best day of my life. We spent the next 56 days battling bradycardia, dsats and eating, an emotional roller coaster to say the least.

We are now almost one year old, I am so lucky to have a healthy baby girl. My heart goes out to all NICU families!
